A young coed (Nan Barlow) uses her winter vacation to research a paper on witchcraft in New England. Her professor recommends that she spend her time in a small village called Whitewood. He originally cam from that village so he also recommends she stay at the “Raven’s Inn,” run by a Mrs. Newlis. She gets to the village and notices some weird happenings, but things begin to happen in earnest when she finds herself “marked” for sacrifice by the undead coven of witches. It seems that the innkeeper is actually the undead spirit of Elizabeth Selwyn, and the “guests” at the inn are the other witches who have come to celebrate the sacrifice on Candalmas Eve. As one of them said when Nan walked away, “HE will be PLEASED.”
Leonard does not want to admit that he felt awkward seeing Penny on a date with another man. Leonard states to the guys that he is happy that Penny is moving on with her life, as has he. However, they all know that there is no other woman yet in Leonard’s life. Against Sheldon’s sensibilities, Raj suggests to Leonard that he ask Leslie Winkle out again. Surprisingly, Leslie is open to the idea as she is no longer using sex solely as an occasional to rarely used stress reliever. Leslie suggests they pursue a traditional dating ritual with the objective of marriage and children. Because Leslie and Leonard are dating, Sheldon tries to convince Penny to hook-up with Leonard again. But if Penny doesn’t comply, he may make Leonard choose between Leslie and him.
While at Brentano’s, George is forced to buy an expensive art book after taking it into the bathroom. George has a hard time getting rid of said book. Jerry catches Uncle Leo shoplifting and has a hard time dealing with the situation. Kramer and Newman set up a rickshaw business using New York’s homeless population but the plans quickly backfire. Elaine gets in trouble when she has a drunken make out session at Peterman’s Christmas party and Peterman orders the guy to attend rehab.
Sydney and the rest of the team finally capture the Sloane impostor and bring him to APO where they question him to find a rare Rambaldi orchid whose pollen has some miraculous capabilities with a Rambaldi device. However, the real Sloane must relive a painful memory with his late wife Emily in order to get the Imposter Sloane to reveal the orchid location.
After crash landing on an alien world, John Virgil conducts an exterior examination of the spacecraft. He is bitten by a spider-like creature but manages to get back into the airlock. He awakens to find himself in a hospital with his wife and son anxiously by his bedside. It’s all an hallucination however when he realizes he’s still on board the ship. His colleague Dr. Vasquez tells him the hallucinations are the result of the spider venom but as he flashes back and forth between the hospital and the spaceship, he can’t distinguish which is real.
Picard quickly escapes starring as role model in the school’s annual “Captain Picard Day” responding to a top-secret assignment from Admiral Eric Pressman, once Will Riker’s captain aboard the starship Pegasus. The Pegasus was lost 12 years ago and presumed destroyed, but in fact still in existence. The mission is to get to the ship before the Romulans (who have a three day head start) and prevent Enterprise-type technology falling into enemy hands. Only Will is told by Pressman of their real mission: to retrieve the computer code and repeat the secret experiment that started the fatal cloaking accident. Picard discovers there was a mutiny on the Pegasus, covered up by intelligence. The Enterprise finds the Pegasus in an asteroid fissure and hides from an approaching Romulan war-bird so they can return alone later – but finds it partially materialized inside the rock. When Pressman and Riker find the experiment inside, Will must make up his mind, but they’re not alone.
Hilary lands a new job as an assistant to an actress, Marissa Redman. Ms. Redman turns out to be completely bossy. Will surprises Hilary with Jazz in the office and Marissa takes a liking to Will, wanting to bring him to a restaurant opening, she puts Hilary’s job on the line if she can’t set the date up. Will will only do it if Hilary goes on a date with Jazz.
Farmer Sweetland is an old and lonely widower who manages to marry again. He likes three ladies, but they all reject him, instigated by Aramintha, the farmer’s maid who is secretely in love with her master. The farmer seems to start thinking love is no more his business, but he realizes that the right woman has always lived by his side. She is Aramintha herself.
On August 6, 1945 – the last day of World War II – a forward platoon acting as artillery spotters get an eager and aggressive Lieutenant Katell. The artillery has been unable to dislodge a Japanese unit from a cave and Katell decides that the unit is going to attack. He suddenly finds himself in 1942 however, leading a Japanese unit that is about to attack Americans who are holed up in a cave. He looks into a mirror of sorts when his Japanese superior orders destroy the American stronghold. When he flashes back to 1945, he has second thoughts about the attack.
SG-1 has changed the course of history and made SGC virtually non-existent. Doctors Carter and Jackson have helped Brigadier General Hammond to find the Antarctic Stargate, but are not being allowed to help any further. They help Jack to power up the time machine, and he gets Hammond to allow them on the mission to find Teal’c.
